**HIGHLY RECOMMEND** Excellent service, very accommodating to fit me in, and great value for money!

Sanjay and his team were very responsive to booking me in for a Pink Slip (Safety Check for Rego) with only a few days notice, and have amazing processes which obviously contribute to the smooth running of the customer journey!

They had a free spot ready in their workshop when I arrived a few minutes early. They are very clear with what they needed to do and communicated it well to me. Then Sanjay brought me over to the dedicated area to complete the customer details, and they have a goog system here, so there's no room for error. The whole time I felt very confident that they are very experienced and competent, and in addition they also excel at the admin stuff.

For the hour it would take (they were great to set these expectations, which were totally spot on too!) I was offered to wait in their air-conditioned waiting room, but I took a wander through the park across the road (great cafe at the pool!).

On my return the vehicle was ready to go, parked directly outside, and Sanjay was ready to give me the keys and take the payment, including a printed receipt with all the details.

Apart from the great service and ability to do the work, Sanjay himself is a very likeable character who gained my trust very quickly, and appears to have a good balance of professionalism and good humour. His team are very well mannered and seem to enjoy working there, and were also very friendly and helpful (I didn't deal with them much in the time I was there).

Overall I can highly recommend Kismet Mechanical! :)

Hello,

It seems like some customers have had positive experiences at this business but unfortunately I am not one of them.

I decided to give them a go to do a pink slip and install a rear tail light that I supplied as my regular mechanic was on holidays. I turned up at 9am to drop the car off and the whole workshop was closed. I texted and emailed and a while later the roller door opened.

When I collected the vehicle I noticed scratches on the paint around where the new tail light had been installed. When I later contacted the business Sanjay said to come in at midday or later the following Friday to inspect the scratches - I arrived at 1pm and he wasn’t there. The guys in the shop tried to say they hadn’t caused the scratches, but I had before photos which showed no scratches.
Sanjay then made another time the following week. When I couldn’t make that time I alerted him with 24hrs notice and asked for another time. He confirmed that again, he would be there on Friday at midday. When I arrived he wasn’t there. The guys at the workshop said he was overseas. This was the second appointment he hadn’t turned up to without the courtesy of letting me know he wouldn’t be there. I’ve decided to write the experience off as a loss.
I’ve since read through other reviews and see other customers have experienced similar disrespectful experiences. I’ve also noted that Sanjay often mocks and disrespects customers that leave anything but positive reviews.
Two stars because they did the pink slip ok.
Please just be careful when dealing with this business and this man.

Honesty, reliability and hard work! These are the words that best describe the Kismet team.

Our car broke down on Christmas Day, terrible timing, so we had to look for a mechanic. We found Kismet and we couldn't be more lucky.

Sanjay was in contact with us during the whole process, putting up with us, considering that we were texting him a lot. Very patient and charismatic man.

They took care of everything in a time record and gave us a lot of tips and advice.
I wish I had this mechanic back home.

Luan at Kismet performed the car check for my pink slip. I chose them from a Google search because they were one of the few mechanics available on the Saturday of the long weekend. I didn’t know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised. Kismet were efficient in answering the phone and had an organised booking system with SMS confirmation. My mechanic Luan was efficient, friendly and transparent about the service. I was so impressed I’m considering taking my car to Kismet for future services. Thank you Kismet team!

They kept my car over night in the workshop and didn't check anything with it and told me to come and pick up the car without touching it,

The aggression and how rude the Indian owner treated me and other people.

It's a mess, no one called me to follow up with parts and pricing eventhough I called them back 3 times.

See Jeep SRT in the workshop.

What a waste of time, I spent 60$ for uber when I left my car with them

I had an excellent experience with Kismet Mechanical! Their team was professional, honest, and incredibly knowledgeable. They diagnosed the issue quickly, explained everything clearly, and had my car back on the road sooner than expected. The pricing was fair, and the quality of work was outstanding. I took my voltswagon here a month ago, really disappointed with the service I thought everything was up to date and checked so it was road safe. I took my car to another mechanic last week to get a blue slip completed (initially when I took my car to get my service an employee at kismet said they did blue slips only for me to call and be told you don’t, which was annoying initially). The mechanic who I thought was only going to complete the blue slip found several issues, one there was a massive oil leak, the light had been on for sometime even prior to the service at kismet and I assumed all was well as it had been checked and cleared after the service at kismet. There was also coolant fluid found which I wasn’t made known of. I understand a month has passed and something could have happened between now and then but I was told the oil was extremely low at kismet which I was shocked with as I thought I kept it well topped up. The last issue was the tyres which I was told are really cracked and worn and are in need of replacing. Nothing as such was ever mentioned to me which the other mechanic thought was extremely poor. I wouldn’t recommend going here at all to have your car serviced or anything checked or even minimal simple work to be completed, at the bare minimum I would have expected the tyres to have been mentioned.

Amy Your message has been read and referred to the instructions given on the day.Service was carried as per specsAir and cabin filters were changed as per specs and old dirty filters were left in your car as exhibits as a proof they were poor and needed replacing Scan reports were emailed and pre scan had many fault codes which were cleared in post scan report and the reports were emailed to you on 21june.Oil & coolants were topped as per specs.The instructions were for service.If you want to prep the car for blue slip then you really don't need anything above.For blue slip we check for oil leaks / tyres /lights /suspension etc.Also as per law all oil leaks are not a fail. There is a guideline for it. If your car falls within guidelines then an honest mechanic should do the right thing by the customer and pass the car. Tyres have same guidelines.Now to make a pedantic report of faults to drum up the business an unscrupulous mechanic can do so and play on naive customers lack of knowledge. An honest mechanic shall do the right thing by the customer.Scan reports cleared all faults and proof is on the scan reports sent to you.Now note : You didn't need service for blue slip as service is your obligation to maintain the car. Had you come and asked or instructed us for blue slip we would have seen or peeped the car for blue slip requirements. Since service was asked for we did that .As again repeating myself tyres /oil leaks etc have a fail guidelines and honest mechanic will value all pros and cons before recommending any fixes.As for blues not being offered here is true as our blue slip inspector has earned his long service leave and we are proud of his services. Not coming to kismet mechanical is your prerogative as banning you from visiting us is ours.It would have been pleasant if you had called for an explanation before making your judgement on us and things could have been explained better. Now since the car is with another mechanic it's for you to follow his advice or not to.We were never asked for blue slip on the day but service which was carried as per specsSanjay
